Renovation Update

The small 19th century barn is in the process of being carefully restored and renovated - we are almost there. This barn now houses our new tasting room, an event room and features a beautiful two level deck overlooking the vineyard and the Chronos Observatory. We will soon be ready to book events of up to 40 people - consider a tasting that includes a look at the stars.

Welcome to our Winery

Residing in the heart of Niagara wine country, CALAMUS ESTATE WINERY is adjacent to the Balls Falls conservation area. The historic charm of our 1800's era heritage barns is the setting for the production area and retail outlet.

Fragments of rock used for arrowheads were discovered in the area. The Latin word for arrow is "CALAMUS"

Our 20-acre ravine behind the winery is a scenic spot for hikes, picnics and outdoor functions, as it is adjacent to the famous Bruce Trail. With a total of 32 acres of vineyards located on two sites, CALAMUS ESTATE WINERY grows Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Vidal, Gewürztraminer, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir.
