Dan Aykroyd Signature Reserve Vidal Icewine Receives Wine of the Year Award
The wine received this prestigious award at a record breaking year for the Ontario Wine Awards. A total of 69 wineries entered a total of 463 wines!
Tasting Notes:A gorgeous copper colour, this Vidal icewine displays a rich and fragrant nose of apricots, orange honey and peaches, with mingling aromas of butterscotch and toffee. The palate presents deep and complex flavours of sweet honey, ripe tropical fruits, butterscotch with delicate hints of lychee and ginger throughout. This sweet wine is well balanced and shows good acidity in the finish.
The Dan Aykroyd Signature Reserve Vidal Icewine is available in limited quantities and can be purchased for $79.95 which includes the collectors wood box (shown at right). This wine is currently available at Lakeview Cellars and select LCBO Vintages stores across Ontario and will be made available elsewhere in Canada later this year.
