Henry of Pelham 2004 Meritage (Cabernet-Merlot) - $14.95

Author :Michael Pinkus - Grape Guy
DescriptionDescription  2004 wasn’t a particularly impressive vintage – when compared to say an outstanding one like 2002, but next to the 2003 vintage it definitely had more high points – I would say this lovely drinking wine is one of those “high points”. Blackberries, black cherries and blueberries on the nose with a little cedary vanilla seasoning. Ripe fruit with lean tannins in the mouth – black and red fruit intermingle on the palate, you’ll find red raspberries and black cherries are also kicking around for your benefit. Great pizza night wine, or store in the cellar for no more than a couple of years. Drinking well right now. (Tasted January 2007)
