Harbour Estates Winery 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon

DescriptionDescription  Here’s another strong wine from a strong vintage, with a totally unexpected surprise … faux-sweetness. Mint, yellow pepper and sweet red fruit accosts the nose – maraschino cherry is the closest approximation. Which translate on the palate to the sweet taste of cherries along with some blueberries and blackberries – the surprise of course is the sweet cherry taste for a wine ranked at a zero, making this wine a delicious pairing with lighter food and pizza, or even better yet, on it’s own. Drink now, or within 2 to 3 years and put just a hint of a chill on it – maybe 30 minutes in the fridge. Great value.
