Description
Here’s a wine to wow your friends and guests with – or better yet, horde for yourself during those “me” moments. A lush nose of cherries, white pepper, plums and raspberries invitingly tempt the palate; there’s some wonderful drying tannin on the finish. Its full, rich and hearty mouth-filling flavours include sweet red pepper, spice, with intense red and black fruit – all wrapped up with a medium-dry finish. Released in February it is already in limited supply. It’s a little on the pricey side, but well worth the few extra dollars, it’ll cost you for a bottle. A blend of 74% Cab Sauv and 26% Shiraz – it is truly one of the best wines I’ve tried so far this year – and quite possibly one of the best from the 2003 vintage that I have tasted. This wine is great now, but you’ll find that a few more years in the cellar will be very rewarding.
