Willow Springs 2004 Baco Cabernet Franc

Author :Michael Pinkus - Grape Guy
DescriptionDescription  Willow Springs has been making a name for themselves with their light and fruity tasting Baco Noir grown on their own property up in Stouffville. By the same token, year after year, their Cabernet Franc has shown great promise … so it was only a matter of time before they blended these two stars together. And I think they have a winner here. The smell is rich and full with aromas of black cherry and raspberry along with a backbone of woodiness and new leather. The taste is completely different from the nose, but in a good way – green pepper with some smokey-eathiness. The finish is quick as it passes through the mouth – very smooth and easy drinking. The overall effect is delicious. And as with most Baco’s, this blend is great with foods, especially steak.
