Description
Sometimes you just need a red wine you can chill and slug back glass after glass, without too much thought … this is just such a wine. Waupoos claims right on the bottle “semi-dry red wine”, which means there is some residual sugar remaining or added during the winemaking process. This also means there’s a lack of tannin grip or bite … in short, it’s a ready to drink quaffing wine. This straight-forward, simple, easy drinking red has sweet cherry, vanilla and some far away smoke on the nose; while in the mouth there’s strawberry, which meshes well with the sweet cherry and light smoke you found on the nose. The Gamay makes it light and fruity, the Cabernet gives it body, and the sweet makes it tasty – chill and enjoy.
