Description
Love the name, love the story behind the name … this is the first red from John Howard’s new project that I tasted and it set me on the road to being intrigued with what else he’s putting out. All the wines are made by Andrzej Lipinski, who is best known for his whites, but this blend proves that he’s also quite adept with the reds. This one is both flavourful and enjoyable. A nose of blackberry, cranberry, cassis, black cherry and some cedar; the taste follows the nose with a cranberry-mocha finish and cherry dominating the mid-palate. I would say you could hold this one for another 3 years, but why wait, it’s tasting good right now.
