Description
Pinot Noir is known as the heartbreak grape and I’m sure has made more than one winemaker scream “Son of a Bitch” more than a few times while making it. This SonofaBitch is really very good – a nose lifted straight out of a cherry tree with hints of strawberries and a slight woodsiness. The palate is something altogether different, sure the woodsy comes through with cedar, oak and even redwood notes (could be the mix of red fruit and oak), the fruit is tart strawberry, sour cherry and unsweetened cranberry juice – lovely and smooth with just a touch of tannin bite. The medium length finish makes going back to the well a must, time and time again, until the bottle’s gone.
