Lailey Vineyard 2006 Gewurztraminer

Hits:266
Rating:Nº votes
Date added;:04.Dec.2007
Author :Michael Pinkus - Grape Guy
DescriptionDescription  The last time Lailey made a Gewurzt was back in 2002, not because winemaker Derek Barnett doesn’t like making it, in fact he loves it, but because of the killing winters that Ontario has seen, and the recovery time of the vines. 2006 was the first full crop of Gewurzt Lailey has seen since the ’02 harvest. This beauty is for the purists of the “G”-grape, full on floral and rose petal on the nose with plenty of floral and orange blossom on the palate … a word to the wise: to those who like their Gewurztraminer sweet, stay away, this one’s dry; refreshing, pleasant and dry.
