Description
One of my favourite descriptions I heard about icewine was: “it tastes like icewine” – not very descriptive, especially if you have never tried icewine, but you get the picture. It’s also an unfortunate commentary about the sameness trap that icewine is falling into. The Magnotta version is an icewine – a great starter icewine, it has all those classic flavours and it’s still under 30 bucks. Honeysuckle, apples, peaches, apricots and a touch of something spicy on the finish (which only adds to the enjoyment). Never tried icewine – this is a really good place to start.
