Calamus Estate Winery 2006 Red

Hits:215
Rating:5,00 (1 Votes)
Date added;:05.Mar.2008
Author :Michael Pinkus - Grape Guy
DescriptionDescription  The 2005 Red was a delicious bargain at $15; now comes the next edition to the Calamus legacy … it might have been a few dollars more than its predecessor, but Calamus decided to stick with their pricing from last Vintage. The ’06 is a silky affair – 57% Cabernet Sauvignon; 29% Cabernet Franc and 14% Merlot, which spent 7 months in its oak home. Anise, black raspberry and red currants greet the nose, while red plums, white pepper, some spice and vanilla round out the palate. Classy and tasty. Released in the Fall of 2007.
