Description
This 2005 general list (at the LCBO) Cabernet-Merlot reminds me of the 2002. That wine was made from a great growing year, had a wonderful and powerful nose and had ageing potential to spare and was excellent value for $15.85. This 2005 comes off the same way the nose is rich with red berry and tobacco leaf being the most dominant smells in the mouth, its more complex, dealing out flavours of cran-raspberry, tobacco, vanilla and delicious sweet red fruit. Silky tannins and plenty of ageability to spare as I said, good value for $15.85.
