Ridgepoint Wines 2006 Medium-Dry Riesling

Hits:1403
Rating:5,00 (1 Votes)
Date added;:12.Apr.2008
Author :Michael Pinkus - Grape Guy
DescriptionDescription  This is one sweet Riesling – I don’t mean sugar-wise, I mean it like the kids mean it; sweet as in good, like when they see you pull up in a Porsche, “that’s one sweet ride”. The smell is subtle, with Mac apples and a hint of floral; but then it’s mouth time. First thing to notice is the great acidity, which is crisp and cool, balancing between the sweet flavours and that bit of bite. Flavours are driven by those Mac apples (bite) and lemon zest (tart), but there’s a sweet core that fights with that tart-bite, delicate all the way through … what a ride. Price: $15.25
