Description
One of the four 2006 Sauvignon Blancs currently available at Vineland and the last of the single vineyard Sauvignon Blans introduced from the 2006 vintage. This one is a full on barrel-aged number (7 months). It is the darkest in colour of all four of the Sauvignon Blancs, and that is derived from its former barrel home. Usual Sauvignon Blanc citrusness is muted on the nose and plays more of a supporting role to the melon, vanilla and tropical fruit aromas. The flavours are also more complex, sure citrus is there, but it again plays backup to the more in your face vanilla and butterscotch flavours … leaving very interesting and playful flavours behind in the lovely long lasting finish. This wine is is just on the other side of Fume, it’s Brule. Price: $25.00
