Michael Pinkus - Grape Guy
Description
This Sauv Blanc has all the usual suspects of Sauvignon Blanc – the three G’s are present: grassy, gooseberry and grapefruit … it’s fresh and crisp with lots of racy mouth-watering acidity; there’s also some orange blossom and melon flavours littered in and amongst the typicity. In making this wine Brian Schmidt (Vineland’s winemaker) decided to put half of it into French oak for 6 months to round out some of those flavours, and it really worked – this is a delicious, thirst-quenching, yet very elegant Sauvignon Blanc. Price: $24.00
