Cattail Creek 2007 Chardonnay Musque

Hits:1339
Rating:4,00 (2 Votes)
Date added;:07.May.2008
Author :Michael Pinkus - Grape Guy
DescriptionDescription  Chardonnay Musque is starting to really make a name for itself here in Ontario. It’s a preferred wine by many who like fruitiness in their Chrad rather than really heavy oak. You’ll now notice that plenty of wineries make a Musque and the aromas and tastes suit the hot weather, some even make it a tad sweet. The newest Niagara-on-the-Lake winery, Cattail, has leapt onto the Musque table with all four paws, but there’s a twist. This wine rested on its lees for three months, though I bet you couldn’t tell, because the fruitiness is all there, and so too is the complexity. The nose is apple, peach, pineapple and a touch floral, while the taste is very apple blossom, which gives it a sweet tasting mid-palate, but there’s a mineral kick that manages to keep it dry on the finish. Price: $17.00
