Description
I have a friend who likes Palatine Hills, though I am not sure it’s for the right reasons. Most people like a winery based on their wines, she likes Palatine because of Max (the dog) and “the cute old guys” behind the counter. Barring those two things she can’t remember anything about them when I mention the place. Well here’s something that might help jar her memory – the ’06 Chardonnay: totally light, fruity and refreshing – especially for the upcoming summer months. The smells and taste mesh seamlessly: apples, pears, peaches and a touch of lemon rind in the crisp mid-palate, which leads to a soft, supple, smooth finish. And yes dear, it was made by “the cute old guys”, though I am sure the dog had little, if anything, to do with it. Price: $17.00
