Ridgepoint Wines 2007 Unoaked Chardonnay

Author :Michael Pinkus - Grape Guy
DescriptionDescription  As the weather heats up, the wines we drink are all about the two F’s – fruity and fun. Who wants to be taxed on a hot summer afternoon by vanillas, cinnamons and heavy oak? These are the days that Unoaked Chardonnay was made for. This Ridgepoint unoaked is a perfect summertime beverage – the fruits are all tropical both on the nose and in the mouth. Smells of pineapple and banana puree hit the olfactories, with pineapple and a touch of tart citrus flog the tongue. Lovely and so very, for lack of a better term, summery.
