Description
I love a late harvest wine, I have been calling them “poor man’s icewine” since I tasted my very first from Hillebrand back in 1993. The reason is simple, the price, as you will notice, is more than half of what you’ll pay for a good icewine, while the sugars are almost cut in half too – but the flavours are all there. This one, from the icewine specialist at the Ice House, have lots of apple and tropical fruit on the nose, while in the mouth there’s more tropical fruit flavours with tastes of candied mangoes and peaches along with a good balance of sweetness and acidity. Price: $19.95 / 375ml
