Birtch Farms Oak Aged Macintosh

Hits:2435
Rating:Nº votes
Date added;:15.Jul.2008
Author :Michael Pinkus - Grape Guy
DescriptionDescription  No word on how long the oaking takes place but it sure does add something to the finished product. As you would expect from an apple wine, the nose smells like apples, but there's more, including a touch of cinnamon and vanilla. Then you put it in your mouth ... there are those apples again, but instead of bringing cinnamon and vanilla as the nose would suggest, the taste is tart apple, crab apple like, with good acidity and a lingering apple finish ... not what you'd expect, but better. Price: $13.95
