Description
Most great wineries of the world have a second label where they put those grapes that didn’t make it through the barrel selection process. “Wildass” is Stratus’ way of taking that to a whole new level – no “proper” winery would have a name that far off-base from their primary label; but then that’s the kind of fun they like to have at Stratus (plus if you have ever heard winemaker JL Groux say the word “wildass” you’d get a kick out of it – no pun intended). This rosé, despite it’s bizarro name, is a seriously fun wine that is loaded with red fruit and red berries – namely cherry and raspberries, but those thinking they’re in for something sweet should thing again … the finish is cranberry tart. Price: $18.95
