Description
For those of you with the love of Icewine but without the deep pockets to match your taste, let me suggest a little something that might save your tastebuds from hating you, Late Harvest wine. Years ago I started calling them “poor man’s Icewine” because they deliver all the flavour and smell you expect from Icewine at less than half the price and half the sugar content. This Indian Summer Riesling is fantastic; the balance of acid to sweetness is lovely and harmonious – but enough rhapsodizing and on with the more technical fruity aspects. Apricots, apples, lemon zest on the nose, which follows through on the palate, and a touch of caramel finishes this one off in the mouth – delicious. Price: $24.95 – 375ml
