Konzelmann ‘Old Cellar Door’ Sparkling

Michael Pinkus - Grape Guy
Description
Konzelmann makes two sparkling wines: one is light and lovely, full of effervescing bubbles and great as a mimosa mix (or whatever else you want to put into it). The other is for the serious sparkling wine fan … this review is for that wine. A blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Riesling that spends 12 months on lees in the bottle. While you’ll find the nose a little soft and closed the palate more than makes up for it with apples and citrus in the mouth, there is also a hint of peach that shows up for the lengthy finish. Price: $30.00
