Description
This is a wine that’s unique to Muskoka Lakes, Ontario, Canada and probably the world. This wine is made with the cranberries that most places discard, not because they’re bad, but because they’re not the right colour. They really are white cranberries. Early ripening cranberries are white (these are harvested in September) they haven’t had time to develop the colour or that biting acidity so the wine they make is lighter in colour and flavour and lower in acidity. Gone is the intense cranberry flavour, what’s left behind is a palate pleasing, easy sipper with just a touch of cranberry bite, think cocktail as oppose to pure juice. This is the one to serve mid-afternoon around the pool. Price: $18.75 – Rating: ****
