Description
Henry of Pelham’s winemaker Ron Giesbrecht consistently, and I mean consistently, puts out good wines at good prices no matter what the vintage. Poor vintage - good wine; mediocre vintage - good wine; great vintage - good wine. This reserve Chardonnay surpasses just being "good wine" but you get the point. The nose is a great mix of fruit and oak characteristics, while on the palate, there’s a good seam of acidity to the mix. Spices and nutmeg, apple and peach, caramel and toffee and even hints of cinnamon can be found on both the nose and palate. Chill and enjoy, this one’s got flavor and oomph to spare. Price: $14.95 -Rating: ****½
