Michael Pinkus - Grape Guy
Description
There are many aspects to good rosé production - one of them is to deliver on the promise of the colour, those pink hues have to evoke bright sweet red fruits. Another aspect of good rosé is to make sure you don't get swept away with all that sweetness on the palate so that you're left with a sweet and sticky mess. This wine seems to have kept both of these in mind. The nose delivers and abundance of ripe, fresh strawberry and raspberry; the palate has the same flavours but they are muted and drier, offering a more earthy nuance along with the tart bite of strawberry seeds on the finish. Price: $14.95 - Rating: ****½
