Description
This is a delicious Chardonnay with plenty of smells and tastes to keep the olfactories and the taste buds happy. The smell is loaded with buttery creamed corn, oak, butterscotch and vanilla. Lots of barrel notes from the 2/3 new French oak used in its making. The palate is creamy and smooth; tastes of buttered and toasted apples along with hints of butterscotch-toffee fill the mouth. There’s great balance here as the acidity from the wine washes the mouth clean leaving a supple lingering flavour behind. Plus there’s some longevity in this bottle, say a minimum of 5 years. Drinks wonderfully now. Price: $29.95 – Rating: ****½
