Description
Talk about limited edition wines, this Pinot Noir is made from one lone barrel, 25 cases in total. The nose is lovely with delicate cranberry and cherry nuances. The palate delivers delicacy and finesse at 11.5% alcohol; cherry, cranberry and strawberry along with a nice seam of palate cleansing acidity. Not words I usually use to describe a wine but this one is very pretty, a more natural way to describe it would be elegant – especially when compared to the rather messy 2007 version from the same winery; proves to me that they are heading in the right direction. Bottom line, this 2008 is a beautiful Pinot Noir and you should try to get your hands on one of the only 300 bottles in existence, less now. Price: $TBA – Rating: ****½
