Colchester Ridge Estate Winery 2005 Merlot

DescriptionDescription  Here’s an Ontario Merlot you can drink now yet still hold for a few years if you wish. Most Ontario Merlot needs quite a few years to mellow, CREW has made one that’s drinkability-factor is immediate. Smells of plum, blackberry, pepper and other spices are quite inviting to the nose, while in the mouth you’ll get the tastes of tobacco, spices and blackberries with heavy tannins and some spiciness …but those heavy tannins don’t overpower. This wine is well put together and tasty.
