	Chateau des Charmes 2004 Paul Bosc Chardonnay Forget for a moment about the weight of this bottle - well I guess that’s easier said than done, this kind of bottle can be used as a weapon after the wine inside has been consumed; but could it very well be that the weight of the bottle is a precursor for the weight of the wine inside. A nose that’s rich in vanilla, and butterscotch ripple ... and though I'd love for those flavors to appear in my mouth it's more of the fruits and spices flavours that shows up. 	Lailey Vineyard 2006 Old Vines Chardonnay I'm writing this review after the 2008 Grammy awards have been handed out and this evening I've tried so much wines I’m thinking about joining Amy Winehouse in rehab - but no, no, no, wait just a minute I have another recommendation for you before I shuffle the Betty Ford clinic, or some other such “spa”. Winemaker Derek Barnett has crafted some fine Chards in his day and many have stood the test of time - here's yet another. Made from the old Lailey Chard vines, this wine spent fourteen month... 	Featherstone Winery 2007 Gewurztraminer With each and every vintage I wait with baited breath to see what Dave Johnson (winemaker for Featherstone) is going to impress me with next. Last year it was an old vines Riesling, this year it's gotta be this outstanding Gewurtraminer. Floral and spicy with lots of rose petal on both the nose and in the mouth. The awesome nose reels you in and the only way to deal with it is to just sip away while you’re sniffing. In the mouth, there's the typical oily texture that is common to Gewurztrami...
