	Hillebrand 2007 Trius White Last year Hillebrand introduced us to the newest wine in their Trius line-up, a white blend to pair up with their red Trius blend … it did very well. As the old saying goes in Hollywood, “if you do well with the first, make a sequel” – or something like that. This year’s version is 37% Gewurztraminer, 33% Riesling, 27% Pinot Gris and 3% Chardonnay. 	Hillebrand 2007 Limited Edition Gewurztraminer Most people don’t think of adding a wood component to Gewurztraminer, but winemaker Darryl Brooker thought putting a 10% barrel fermented, 5 months aged, component back into his Gewurzt might just add a little something-something; and he was right. That’s why this Hillebrand Artist Series Sauv Blanc is such a deal at under $12 a bottle. It has the grassy, gooseberry and touch of grapefruit you’ve come to expect from wines bearing the S.B. on the label, but at a third less the price, a touch less the acidity and a pleasant soothing finish. 	Colio Estate 2007 CEV Chardonnay Musque New Colio winemaker, Tim Reilly, has plenty to smile about these days. He’s made the first ever Shiraz in Colio history and he’s getting the freehand to put his stamp on other wines as well as branching out to make new ones. 	Colchester Ridge 2007 Riesling For years, Riesling has been the purview of Niagara, but the folks in the Lake Erie region aren’t taking that lying down. There are quite a few wineries trying their hand at Riesling and making a pretty good case for it in the southern most reaches of Ontario. Colchester Ridge, fresh off their gold medal at the Ontario Wine Awards for Chardonnay, tries their hand at this hot white.
