Flat Rock Cellars 2007 Riesling

Since they opened their doors in 2003, Flat Rock has consistently made some of the best Rieslings in Niagara – and has won quite a few awards in the process, here’s another Riesling-beauty: peach, apple, pear, a dash of sweetness (1), along with good old-fashioned tropical notes and a crisp clean acidity to round it off nicely. Southbrook 2007 Triomphe Sauvignon Blanc

Good, textbook Ontario Sauvignon Blanc. Grass, hay and slightly tropical notes on the nose. Palate shows grass, veggie and unripened green apple with a good seam of acidity to keep it fresh and lively. Price: $18.95...

Niagara College 2006 Dean’s List Chardonnay

This Chardonnay has integrated very nicely with its former oak home. Great smells and flavours: vanilla, butter, over-ripe apple and peach … perfect Chardonnay for those times you’re hankering for a bigger, beefier Chard. Price: $27.95...

Cattail Creek 2007 Off-Dry Riesling

Another winning Riesling from Cattail. Fresh apples, peaches and a touch of wildflowers on the nose; followed up in the mouth with apple, tart citrus and a nice green apple finish – crisp acidity that balances the sweetness off nicely. Price: $15.00...
