I had never tasted a red currant in my life, so I had no idea what to expect from this wine, nor had most of the tasting circle. 	Wagner Estate Winery Bridal Path Made with a blend of raspberries and vidal, along with a couple other varietals, this wine is an excellent summer afternoon patio sipper … raspberry smells hit the nose and then follow through on the palate. It smells like it is going to be a sweet dessert wine, but instead finishes toned down and refreshing. 	Wagner Estate Winery Pug’s Head Cider Every wine region needs a fruit winery to keep it honest … if that’s not an old saying it should be. While grape wines take on all kinds of different fruit flavours and smells, fruit wines stay true to what they were made of. This cider, the first made at Wagner’s, was made from Mac apples that did not change colour – they were on the inside of the tree and therefore ripened but never changed to that red colour you expect from a Mac. 	Stoney Ridge 2005 Cranberry Wine Cranberry juice … God’s gift to the urinary track, or so we are told. I’m sure you have friends that swear by it, I know I do; but it has to be pure cranberry juice, not that “cocktail stuff”.
