	Flat Rock Cellars 2007 Nadje’s Vineyard Riesling One of Ontario’s newest wineries for Riesling has been making a show of this grape since it opened. Flat Rock, for the most part, does 3 grapes, and does them extremely well: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling. This single vineyard Riesling is named for owner Ed Madronich’s mom – I’ve never met the lady, but if she is anything like this wine she is one heck of a woman. 	Cave Spring 2006 CSV Riesling There is a reason you’re going to pay a premium price for this Riesling – it’s just that good. There’s a complexity here that Riesling lovers just love, and non-Riesling lovers don’t quite get, but will still love. The nose has petrol, peach and ripe apples, but it’s the mineral aspect of this wine that’s its real strong point. 	Rosehall Run 2007 Chardonnay Sur Lie This unoaked Chard is 75% Niagara fruit, 25% County fruit and of that fruit, 20% is Chardonnay Musque (all County only). Now that we have the technical stuff out of the way, how does it taste? We’ll first deal with the smells: peach, apple, and limeade, pretty simple really. The taste is what really makes this wine a winner – good minerality, apple, lemon-lime, a touch of melon, almost tropical in nature, with a very appealing and refreshing finish. Price: $14.95... 	Rosehall Run 2007 Fieldstone Vineyard Riesling When it comes to Ontario Riesling you hear a lot about the Beamsville Bench, and well deserved ... but I think Dan Sullivan (owner and winemaker) has discovered a little plot of land, a stone's throw from his property in Prince Edward County, that just might be the perfect place to put County Riesling on the Map. It's the Fieldstone Vineyard and according to Dan it has a "big limestone content in the soil", which explains why this wine is so mineral driven. Lots of melon and mineral with a big...
