	Flat Rock Cellars 2007 Pinot Noir Rosé An interesting rosé with a touch of flair. Flat Rock is known for their Pinot Noirs, Chardonnays and Rieslings … so when making a rosé they decided to use all three varieties – mostly the Pinot Noir, but why not kick in a little Riesling and Chard for umph! What we get is a salmon-pink wine that has beautiful cherry and cranberry cocktail flavours with a finish that’s summer fresh and has soft acidity – which means it’s easy to sip on again and again and again. 	Huff Estates 2007 Rosé Last year, Huff, and winemaker Frederic Picard, wowed me with this wine with its Sauvignon Blanc-like notes on both the nose and palate. Back then I was surprised to find out it was of Cabernet Franc and Sauv composition (authentic rosé) and not of a white and red make-up (thus a blush). This year it’s the same grapes that bring even more Sauvignon Blanc intensity: citrus and grapefruit cocktail lead the way in the great aromatic department. 	Malivoire 2007 Ladybug Rosé "Ladybug Rosé" may have the most unfortunate name, but this version is probably the best yet made at Malivoire … 80% Cabernet Franc, 12% Gamay and a hodge-podge of whatever else, this hot vintage wine has produced a delicious red fruit extravaganza with ripe strawberry and raspberry aromas and flavours.
