	Colio Estate Wines 2004 Lily Blanc de Noir I have been noticing a proliferation of sparkling wines around Ontario – it seems to be the new “in” thing. Some wineries have been making them for a long time, while others are just jumping on the bandwagon. Colio falls into the former category … having been making their Lily brand of sparkling since the early ‘90’s: in both a blanc de blanc (Chardonnay) and blanc de noir (Pinot Noir). 	Maleta Winery 2005 Old Vines Brut Riesling Winemaker Arthur Harder seems to be everywhere these days … or at least on everybody’s radar. He’s making some fine Riesling for the likes of Calamus, Ridgepoint, Maleta and even had a hand in the Cattail Creek three. But I know from speaking with him, that Sparkling wine is a passion of his. 	Colio Wines 2004 Lily Here’s a lovely and versatile sparkler for any time and any occasion. It has a lovely exotic fruit and citrus nose (mainly grapefruit) – the taste is even more interesting with pineapple and orange flavours, and lots and lots of bubbles. Versatile enough to mix with orange juice for that weekend brunch starter “morning glory”; or with grapefruit juice, to cut down on all those bubbles and enhance the aromas; or even to sweeten up your morning cranberry juice, to give it a little pop and fizz. ...
