	Sandbanks Estate Winery 2005 Winter Harvest Vidal There are wines to be analyzed and there are wines to be savored. This is the latter. We could go into how this wine was made, when the grapes were harvested, how long they sat in tank or barrel, but let's forgo all that and instead enjoy the fruits of the labor. This wine does not fall into the category of those usual sweet dessert wines, instead this four on the sugar code, is a pleasant little chill and serve for dessert, or with biscotti. 	Huff Estates 2006 First Frost I’m almost positive this wine was in a bigger bottle last year and as I am writing this review I am looking it up … yes there it is, 750ml bottle, oh but the price was also higher ($22.95) … kudos to Huff for lowering the price along with the bottle size, that renews my faith of honesty in the wine business. Alright enough with my critique about prices and bottle size and on with what you’ll find when you pull the cork on this one. The nose has some great tropical fruit notes of apples, kiwi, ... 	Royal DeMaria Wines 2004 Sauvignon Blanc Now here’s an odd little duck … it’s not often that you see this grape frozen on the vine (like try never). It retains its Sauv Blanc qualities of grassiness and grapefruit, but this time, it’s like sprinkling a splash of sugar on top – great follow through results in a lingering finish. 	Royal DeMaria Wines 2004 Chardonnay Not your typical varietal to be making icewine with, but why not, the vines are winter hardy and the skins aren’t brittle and thin – I have tried a late harvest Chard before but never an icewine. 	Royal DeMaria Wines 2004 Riesling Riesling has become a pretty typical icewine candidate these days, but this one seems less sweet then most, clocking in at a mere 15.2 on the sugar code.
