The Chateau isn't best known for producing Pinto Noir: Gamay, Viognier, Bordeaux reds and delightful Rieslings sure, but Pinot Noir, not so much. This '08 version is soft and simple but with a degree of elegance: strawberry and burnt toast are the aromas of note, which leads to raspberry, strawberry toastiness along with a little cedar and hints of spice.
