Another wonderful Viognier from the folks at Creekside, if they keep making Viognier like this it might become their signature grape. The nose is floral and tropical with just the right amount of vanilla-toast from 9 months in neutral oak barrels (though one might have been a 1-year French). The palate is lovely with lots of flavour that keeps you coming back for more: peach, floral and vanilla notes all wrapped in pineapple that flows right through to the finish, where the balanced acidity carries the show home. Only 70 cases produced but after that Ontario Wine Awards gold medal I suspect they won't be around long. Price: $30.00 - Rating: **** 1/2
