This is the Pinot Noir from Le Clos that you are to sit on and age ... so say the marketers behind the wine - the winemaker seems to be of the same opinion, though I have always learned that winemakers tend to hedge their bets ("I like how it's drinking right now"). The nose is full of cran-cherry with raspberry and a mineral middle. The palate has dark red fruit like black cherry and heartier tannins (when compared with the other Le Clos 2011 offerings) and a very spiced finish. Time should mellow this one, unless you like it that way - thought I's hedge my bet too. Price: $70:00 - Rating: *** 1/2+
