One of my favourite winery names in all of Ontario and possibly the world (though I am sure there are others I'd adore too) ... I just had to put that out there. This Pinot Noir spends time in American (10%), Canadian (10%) and French (80%) oak - has lovely fruit that is darker in nature than one would expect from a Pinot. Toasty with vanilla, plum, black cherry and mineral notes. I would not normally think of this wine as a Pinot Noir, if I were tasting it blind, but that's what the hot 2012 vintage can do to a wine.
