A blend of Piedirosso (85%) and Aglianico (15%) from 30 year old vines grown in Vesuvius National Park under the shadow of an active volcano, 350m above sea level. Piedirosso brings the acidity to the wine while Aglianico brings the fruit, making this a very mineral and acid driven wine with black raspberry and cranberry plus hints of smoke and cherry creeping in on the finish.
