When you make a limited amount of one wine (say 94 cases) you'd better hope it's good, especially when its from a so-so vintage. This Lailey Cabernet Franc fits the bill on all accounts, and proves that even in a meagre vintage good varietal wine can be made. This Franc shows the classic smells and flavours of this variety: nose of raspberry and tobacco, while the palate adds a few more layers after the raspberry, including cherry-tobacco, mocha, hints of blueberry and a little tannin to round it all off nicely.
