As one who bad-mouths Chardonnay more than I praise it I was thrilled and amazed by this Lailey Chardonnay as to how well it has integrated itself in such a short period of time. The fruit flavours actually sit on top of the wood character that it does have, which is to say not very much, because you can`t even tell the oak is there, it`s just that deftly used. Lots of pear, apple and citrus all with something racy in its path; great mid-palate and a touch of sweet vanilla on the finish. Price: $19.95 - Rating: **** 1/2
