Here’s a wine for your cellar. Winemaker Serge Papineau submitted this one for tasting as part of his “best wine” submissions for the sexiest winemaker competition. The nose has vanilla, toffee, black raspberry and black cherry; the palate is mainly black fruit with black raspberries and blackberries, though you will find some red cherries poking through at times. There’s also a lovely extra long black fruit finish. This wine is still in its infancy and needs about 2-3 years to blossom, but once it does, watch out. Rating: ****
