I tried this Reif Reserve during the 2010 edition of Taste the Season in Niagara on the Lake, and while the pairing itself was lackluster the wine by itself was very good. The nose has blueberry, cassis and cinnamon notes, while the palate is smooth and supple with cassis and spice being the most noticeable components … good flavours and a real pleasurable sip.
