I'm not sure who the Lady in Red is suppose to be. Does it refer to winemaker Tanya Mitchell? Are the folks at Sprucewood big Chris DeBurgh fans? Not sure on either account, but what I can tell you is this wine is made up of four red grapes: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a hint of Pinot Noir. You'll find this soft and easy drinking with smoked tobacco and a hint of cherry on the nose and dark raspberry and vanilla lingering on the palate. There's a sort of delicacy to this wine that has me thinking more of Tom Jones' "She's a Lady" then the Chris DeBurgh ode to women in a certain colour. Price: $14.95 - Rating: ****+
