A blend of 38% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 27% Cabernet Franc makes up the components of this 18 month French oak inhabitant (20% new). The wine is full on the palate with nice fruit, mineral notes, blackberry, cassis, chocolate and big tannins with a long finish. Moving backward to the smells, you’ll find some cherry liqueur, black cherry, a mixture of red and black fruits, cocoa, spice and pepper. Quite lovely and ageable for 10+ years, so enjoy now or later, your choice. Price: $57.95 – Rating: ****½
