Simple is sometimes the best way to enjoy something, and this simple Chardonnay from Vineland offers up an easy to distinguish nose and lovely palate of flavours without breaking the bank. Simple starts on the nose, with peach and pear – big on the pear; simplicity continues in the mouth with a repeat of the nose’s apples and pears, and adds tropical fruit, such as guava, to the mix. A very good sip for a very good price – extra half-mark here for value. Price $12.85 – Rating: ****½
